Acoustic Treatment vs. Soundproofing – Choose the Right Solution
Acoustic Treatment – Reducing Echo & Reverberation
Echo-Less Acoustic Foam Panels are designed for sound treatment, helping to absorb reflected sound waves, reduce reverberation and improve speech clarity and overall room acoustics.
For effective acoustic treatment, we generally recommend covering approximately 25–30% of the room's reflective surfaces with suitable acoustic panels. Actual coverage requirements depend on the room's size, layout and acoustic characteristics.
Soundproofing – Reducing Sound Transmission
Soundproofing is different from acoustic treatment. It aims to reduce sound travelling between rooms or entering and leaving a building.
Effective soundproofing generally requires a combination of mass, airtight sealing, insulation and appropriate wall, ceiling or floor construction.
For applications requiring additional sound insulation, consider our Echo-Less Closed-Cell Soundproofing Foam Sheet (200 × 50 × 2.5 cm). This denser, closed-cell material may assist with vibration damping and certain noise-control applications. For substantial sound isolation, additional soundproofing materials and construction methods may be required.
Easy Installation
-
Ensure the installation surface is clean, dry, smooth and free from dust or grease.
-
Plan the panel layout before installation.
-
Carefully remove the protective film from the self-adhesive backing.
-
Position the panel and press firmly against the surface to ensure secure adhesion.
-
Repeat until the desired acoustic coverage is achieved.
Important: Adhesive performance depends on the surface condition and finish. Test adhesion on a small area before completing the installation.
Shipping & Packaging Information
Compressed Packaging: To reduce shipping volume and delivery costs, these acoustic foam panels may be supplied in compressed packaging.
Slight deformation or flattening immediately after unpacking is normal. Allow the foam sufficient time to expand and recover its original diagonal-profile shape.
Detailed decompression and shape-restoration instructions are included inside the package.
